Perfect start to the day

Before you get out of bed, you need to turn on your core muscles, manually, as they don't always activate themselves, and this is a simple matter of stretching, literally before, you get up.

While lying on your back, pull your knee up (try) to touch your nose, ( practice makes perfect ) and do this alternatively 3 times, each leg, and hold for 10 seconds.

The second stretch, for your core, is with your left hand, bend your right leg slightly, and pull the right knee across to your left side, as fas as possible, whilst turning your head to the right, placing your right arm flat, and outstretched, to the right, and hold this position for approx. 10 seconds. Repeat this for the other side, but opposite, of course, and do this 3 times each side, breathing nicely, and gently, the whole exercise.

Once you have completed these stretches, then get up, and stand with your feet firmly on the floor, reach above your head as high as possible, and then, bend over, and try to touch your ankles, stretching at the same time, touching the tops of your feet, and then, in virtually the same motion, reach out and touch the floor.

Try to do this in 3 motions - Ankles, feet and floor, and doesn't matter if you bounce, ( makes it somewhat easier ) and you will find this has the effect of stretching out any last niggles left over from the night in bed.

This will set you up for the day as sometimes your core muscles don't turn on automatically, and you find your not pulling muscles bending over to pick something up.

Get into the habit of doing this every day, and only takes less than 5 minutes, and, as muscles have a memory, you will find this more beneficial, physically and mentally, than you will be able to totally process. Hope you find this in good health, with much love and light, namaste. :)
